For 25 years, Berlin-based artist Stefanie Bürkle has been photographing Venice during her travels. From 2022 to 2025, she realised Imaginationen Venedigs (Imaginations of Venice), an artistic research project as part of the Collaborative Research Centre 1265 Re-Figuration of Spaces at the TU Berlin.

The artist understands her own image production as part of the global circulation of images, a loop in which Venice is fixed, reproduced, reduced and multiplied as a projection screen for diverse spatial imaginations.

She has developed a game especially for this project, which is now being presented for the first time. With Venice BeReal, you can experience the complexity of Venice as a tourist or local, as an investor or art student. While playing, you may get lucky or be cheated, travelling through different versions of Venice.

In addition, 200 photographs from the Venice Atlas will describe a Venice horizon in the Zagreus space.
The various courses of the menu will be served on ceramics by Stefanie Bürkle. The glazes of the seafood and clay bowls shimmer in all the colours of the lagoon.
