Interdisciplinary City Walks: Neukölln
Program
The purpose of this event is to use urban ethnography and city walks as a method for interdisciplinary and cross-cultural analysis of communicative action with the built environment (buildings, city).
Schedule:
09.00 – Meeting, Introduction of the Concept and Aim of the Study as well as Case Study
09.30 – Forming groups of 2-4 scholars. Each group will consist at least of two different disciplines or two different cultural backgrounds.
10.00 – 13.00 City Walks in teams of 2-4 scholars
13.00 – Lunch
14.00 – Reflexion Round 1: Usefulness of city walks for analysing communicative action with the built environment (buildings, city)
16.00 – Reflexion Round 2: Usefulness of city walks for cross-cultural ethnography and as a method for decolonizing social science methodology
17.30 – 18.00 Wrap Up: Do we want to continue with further activities.
18.00 – Dinner
